Damn, the Wii is severly down in comparison to last year. It was selling more than 50k, now just 35k. And even last year this week, the Wii didn't see any big releases. It had received SMG 4 weeks before. Now with AC:CF out, it only manages 35k.
Very terrible IMO. Nintendo needs to do something about this, but as they had already announced their whole 2009 releas schedule and no one seems interested in any of those games, 2009 is going to be the worst year ever for the Wii in Japan in terms of sales.
I honestly can't see any game selling well with the exception of Wii Sports Resort in 2009. The rest of the Nintendo published games are just too niche for the Japanese gamers, they won't even break 100k.
