The solution is to not buy every game that you're interested the first week it comes out. Buy them when you have the time and the money. There really isn't any difference from your perspective if Motorstorm is released in December or if it comes out in November and you buy it in December, is there?

I say, let the game come out when it's ready, and I'll buy it when I'm ready.

This.

I bought Metriod Prime 3 and No More Heroes about 1 month ago, there is no reason to buy every game under the sun on release, leave some till later when you have the money, you can probably get them cheaper then too, especially PS360 games as it seems most owners of those console have to buy games on release, which means they get reduced in price 2-3 months later.

So true. This month, of all months, I've bought Metroid Prime 3 and GTAIV. Why didn't I buy them earlier? I saw the first for £12 and the second for £22, and couldn't resist some impulse buying. The only recent games I think i'll get before xmas are Animal Crossing and Guitar Hero:WT. The first 6 months of 2009 will be awesome, I'll be able to buy a good game every two weeks from all the holiday leftovers .
