That's not the point, It's very possible that the Wii may not be able to handle a complex animation or whatever.
The point is how he said it. It was a despective way to say that Capcom will not put RE5 on the Wii. Then he went ahead and compared Wii with a PS2. We know obviously that Capcom believes Wii is no more powerful than a PS2, hence the crappy DR:CTYD graphics.
