no.

it will be new IPs, that are too risky to put on HD consoles, we may see a few hidden gems along the way

wii doesn't have the highest market share, PC+ps360 is bigger, graphically great and and more cost effective.

If you don't feel like reading the OP, why respond? It was about next gen.

And you're wrong, devs ARE putting major franchises on Wii. Monster Hunter,  Tales, Tenchu as exclusives (sure not the biggest ones, but we'll see some of those in the near future) and Guitar Hero, Call of Duty as multiplat with a good Wii version.
Add to that that most of the Japanese niche games will be on Wii and you have a very good library.

monster hunter its huge in japan, but tales and tenchu are not big.

are not as big as Resident evil 5, FF13, Versus, GTA4, DMC4, Star Ocean 4 etc.

guitar hero always been multiplatform, ps2 even gets its version, hell even the DS. same goes for call of duty.

Yeah so? You stated that Wii would get only new IP on Wii, which is clearly not true. I never said Wii would get the biggest games, but Tales and Monster Hunter are major franchises, period.

The next Wii will be technically very advanced. Nintendo always had very competitive consoles. they know they have the casual market locked. It will take a lot of years for Sony/MS to get to that level. But Nintendo can easily lock in more hardcore. Next gen Japanese support is guaranteed from the start[/]. That's important. If the WiiHD is comparable in power to the next PS/Xbox every multiplat title will also come to the new Wii. Nintendo also wants the hardcore gamers.

And, again, at this moment Nintendo is the only one in the position to spend loads of money on R&D.
