People all need to remember that the credit crunch is actually going to massively affect sales.

Woolworths have now gone into liquidation due to the crunch and so has the company Miss Sixty. It's worse than tou think. I think in america at least Sony will drop the price not nessacerily because of M$ but because mums and dads at Christmas just flat out wont be able to afford it.

this certienly is the strangest credit crunch ever, out here where i live, our local economy is still tearing up in overdrive with construction and purchasing. it seems to be more regional limited and to companies that were already in the shitter aka woolworths, who ive only ever seen closing stores, never seen them open a new one. ive heard of miss sixty, but have no idea what it is, might have been in a paper i read.

ill go further to say this has been an overblown event by the media, unless you had over 100,000 in a failed bank you are fine, this os no great depression yet.

honestly id like to see how many people on here in the states are truely having their pay cut, or having laons and credit refused to them. this does not count a person closing out cards, because they finally figured out that 29.9% rate is bad for them, and paidthe card off

Wow...   People need to wise up on this, particularly over in the states where all this shitty mess started.

Hardly anyone anywhere is feeling the credit crunch yet, it is only the banks and  some large byusinesses that are feeling it.  But give it time... if banks suffer everyone suffers.

Expect companies of all sizes going bust in a big way by the end of the year and into the new year, particularly in the new year for retail when inventory is converted to cash and banks call in the debts.

If companies cant finance working capital or refinance existing facilities then we are is serious trouble.  Get ready.. it is definitely coming.

i still dont see it coming, sure a few large companies will go under, but that generally happens once a decade? honestly do you really buy into this fearmongering of the news, from news reports, this has been going on for over a year, the biggest effect i have had, is deciding not to fly unless it is over a 3 day trip, because airline service has become so poor.

and yes i know all about the liquidity problem, and loans/debt change for larger comps. this is still just a minor to mid grade bust, nothing compared to the Savings and loan failure in the 80s, when it gets that bad then i might care,
