as in jump from the previous year, then yes I expected it. 08 sucked compared to 07 from what I understand. Also, people typically skip a year of madden, so the all new features, plus skip a year from at least a good madden and you get some really good sales.
Add to all that an extra 5m in hardware (as a note, I'm guessing the change between years), and it actually seems like a really small jump.
