As for the previous Skip games, one was an RPG, the other was an Action game, this one is an Action Adventure game. Yeah action games are more popular in Japan than Act.Adv. games /sarcasm
If you dont see this a Japanese oriented game, then what do you see? The game has a Japanese sense of humour to it. Most of the jokes could only be understood by them. They would be hard to understand for the west without proper translation. For example the bleeding nose, which means that the guy is horny.
