Wario Land when compared to the previous Wario titles really underperformed. That-s the only game that got released under this new strategy for the Wii. Fatal Frame also sold poorly, but thats cause the franchise was never popular in Japan.
Take some examples, Wii Music, Animal Crossing Wii and Wii Sports Resort are getting more hype and were announced more than 3 months before release.
New IPs need to be hyped to be successes.
