Sakaguchi, personal opinion, is a washed up game designer. His games are o so uninspiring to me. All of his games are blatent rip offs of it SE roots. Blue Dragon=Dragon Quest(as much as I hate the both of them DQ is better). Lost Odyssey=Final Fantasy (9; and I found LO to be frustrating with its rediculouly slow combat even for turn based, bland character designs, and a loop warm story by any standard). Well that last part about the story may not be accurate as I did not complete the game. Yet as far as I had gotten I was not amused by the story or the wierd flashbacks with the super intensive light sources(rly, y so bright?).

Thx for the other adds, I edit them on the list....

Sakaguchi IS SE's roots. I don't know how you can call the original a ripoff. Lost Odyssey was not a superb entry in the JRPG world, but it was pretty darn good. And it was damn sure better than FFX or FFXII.

Ha, ha. FFX is the last of Sakaguchi's great works...

Now thats just silly. FFXII maybe, and thats a big maybe, but better than X? The second best selling in the series? I think not my friend. FFX was a superb story and had great character development. Yea Tidus was winey, but that was his character, it was what they were TRYING to portray. The sphere grid leveling/ability system can only be rivaled by the materia system.

Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon are the only titles Sakaguchi has worked on since his departure from SE. If neither of them are spectacular in any way how is he a good developer? Even if you think LO is "Good" everyone agrees Blue Dragon was "TERRIBLE" so how does that prove his worth?

Sakaguchi did not come up with the story plots, character designs of any of FF games, he simply directed them. Those awards go to Amono, Tetsuya, and Akido.

First of all I thought Artoon made Blue Dragon while Sakaguchi lended them a hand and stamped his brandname on it. Also the game wasn't terrible but most people complain that it has a very "kiddie" story. Second do you understand what a videogame director does? He puts all of those aforementioned things together and makes them work. A great story won't get you anywhere if the rest of the game sucks and vice versa.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.
