Unless you have a link, I don't believe they ever said 1 month before release. Obviously they anounced Animal Crossings Wii more than 1 month in advance.
Final phase of developement is ~3-6 months before it is going to come out, depending on the size of the game.
Go back to the GC, and look at their release list, and you'll see aproximatly what Nintendo's output capacity is. From there, you can estimate when the next game will be released.
Also, who really cares what they have up their sleeve, I'm only concerned about the next 3-6 months worth of games anyways. Anything past that and it will probably get delayed. Sure it would be nice to know, but nothing to worry about.
