Umm, the game supports widescreen by putting bars on the side, no reason to pull out the SDTV.

Yeah, but I'd play Mario Party 8 if that's what I wanted. Besides, some of my games look a lot better on an SDTV. All I have to do is adjust the contrast and it'll look as good as my HDTV.

 

oh, that makes perfect sense and I agree that a CRT TV can look just as good if not better for 480i/p signals.

I just though you misunderstood the OP as it won't support 16:9 at all.
