It can, largely due to install base.

If the NS goes the way of the WiiU, it will be very unlikely.

If it goes the way of the 3DS, it will have a very good chance.

Since the weeks and months never align perfectly (well, except when a non-leap year February starts on a Monday), I've been thinking about instead of having each month having weeks 1-4 (1-5 on March, June, Sept., & Dec.), I should simply do what Media Create does and number the weeks #1 through #52. I'd still do the months by the 4-4-5-week cycle each quarter, just changing the numbering scheme so I no longer have to keep talking about last month's "Week 4" days into a new month's thread, or about next month's "Week 1" days before the new month's thread is up.

So, you guys think I ought to start doing it like that?

I just thought I'd put that out there since the rankings from this week will be up later today even though the thread for February won't be up until tomorrow and the initial rankings for Feb. not being up until Thursday.

I like that idea, seems easier to follow

It certainly can, the install base is there.  But I wouldn't really count on it.  We'll know more when we reach March 3.
