Matte for me, no more annoying fingerprints.

Its weird cause i always liked the matte finish on the PS2 compared to the glossy PS3 that i own, but now that I've had the glossy PS3 for a while, i can't see it in matte. >>

I think the Matte finish makes the Slim look very 'cheap' in comparison to the Phat. Phat looks like the centerpiece of a home theatre. Slim looks like a toy for kid's rooms.

With that said, I'd trade in my launch 60 GB for a Lightning Slim without blinking an eye.

...You know I was just thinking of this, I don't think I ever noticed any finger prints on my PS3? (I got the 60GB)

The only time I'll be actually touching my PS3 is when I want to switch disk or power off manually, and fingerprints don't show up on the chrome and I never touch the black part of the PS3 why would one do that?, the only problem I have is the dust.

Why are you guys touching your PS3 so much?

I have one of each they both look good in their own respect. but I'd like to get a white slim with a gloss finish. swweeeeeetttttt

Its tough to say. The gloss looks nicer, but the slim looks nicer then the phat. I'll go with matte overall (cause its slimmer).

OT: I wish my PS3 had a Matte finish. Les dust showing and no lines from wiping with the wrong type of cloth...
