See I think there's somethign wrogn with people who LIKE that game. Video games can  never be art when they try to be something else. They aren't movies, as such MGS4 sucks the big one. Even if I didn't have a problem with the length and shitty wanna-be movie air of the game the story still blows... I mean really? Nanobots? Really? My 12 year old brother can do better than that. If the whols story was removed and the game was just left on its gameplay alone it would have bee infinitely better in its current form.

The story does not blow. I loved the story, and love the cutscenes. Why would you want to remove the whole story and leave the gameplay, that is plain stupid, removes the whole point of the MGS Series.

Also it says a lot that an MGS game would be better off without the cut-scenes. Tells you jsut how bad it was.

I think its nanomachines. But great point about the story sucking Vlad.

I remember when Liquid Sankes arm took over the whole body of Ocelot and he jsut asumes his personality from that point on. I was like...wtf is this shit?

Id say that story would have been a lot more amusing to watch if it was presented campy or with some humour. But its so damn serious...
Why does Otagon keep crying every 2 minutes? You'd think a guy that has been involved with warfare for god knows how long would actually toughen up and not be such a panzy.

Also the sotry would have been good if done in just about any other way other than explaining everything with some bullshit.... I'm also fan of satire though.

Because I am friends with people who like it, and they talk about it, and it sounds like complete garbage. I will never watch or read Twilight. I am so positive I will hate it, JUST what I have HEARD about it, that I don't even need to watch it or read it.

I don't know where you're getting the idea that there was no humour.

What about the smoking, soda drinking, bald, diaper wearing monkey that appears regularly throughout the game? That ridicolous J-pop song on the iPod you can have playing while slitting throats and shooting people in the face. The beauties posing for you when you equip the camera. Otacon telling you to change discs. The whole Pscho Mantis cameo. Shaking the the controller during Rose's codec conversations to jiggle her boobs. The resistance member stopping to take a piss in the fountain while you were tailing him. Planting Playboys to distract guards. Crunching a guys balls after patting him down for items.

I could go on and on. You should really give the game another chance because it sounds like you haven't come close to experiencing all it has to offer.

I dont know...very few of those I found amusing.

The Jpop part was awesome. I liked the little things like that guy having an exclamation mark haircut...but a lot of that stuff, like the bluray shameless plug was not amusing at all. 

I'm aware that I prolly missed some funny story parts as the game is 10 freekin hours long story wise and it was really hard to pay attention to it all...but I don't think I find the gameplay enticing enough to give it another go.  Ima play the PSP one soon though...
