I just got to wonder about the score if the game had been the exact same thing, but on the HD systems.

Probably even lower, because those system have higher standards.

The #1 game is GTAIV. How is that "higher standard"?

YOU might not like GTAIV but it was really good. And it deserves it's spot.

He subjectively talked of "higher standards", I, subjectively talked about GTAIV. What's wrong with that?

The higher standards thing is not an opinion, it's a fact. The exact same game would have been received a lot more horribly on HD consoles.

Reviews are pointless if we get to just pick and choose which ones we like (often based on nothing more than agreeing with us instead of actually giving us an opinion).

And I say GTAIV sucks. It's a fact.

Yeah...you might not understand.

^^Because I'm dumb. Is that a fact too?

Oh boy, this game is getting some mixed reviews. I'll still get the game though, I haven't used reviews to decide what to buy before and I'm not gonna start now. Even if it's not a "true, hardcore Final Fantasy."

Yeah, it's very rare I ever let reviews tell me what game to buy. When that happens, I often get disappointed. I prefer user impressions (although sometimes they match and I still like the games, such as with RE4).

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

6.2 for a wii game is a little above average, so the game is decent.

@Rout and Boutros

Chill out people, no reason to fight. Standards are standards, you both have points, but it's been painfully obvious for a while that many "professionals" aren't that professional and I believe thats the root of this issue, they might be able to review certain games well but many reviewers aren't well rounded enough to review across the board.

One great example of this is Gnizmo bringing up a review of a GBA 2D fighter being panned for not being 3D because the fighting genre "had evolved" beyond 2D. Do you really think that reviewer is capable of doing a good review of a Wii game and then a PS3/360 game and still keep standards where they should be?

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

It just seems odd to me that so many Wii games are getting such mixed reviews all the time. Perhaps this is my imagination, but large sites tend to review Wii games lower and smaller, less known sites review them higher.
