He's joking.

First of all, only 360 game cases have that gap in plastic, not Wii games. Second, he spelled Aunoma or whatever wrong.

haha Malstrom is further proof that there is a fine line between genius and insanity (not that I really consider Malstrom "genius", but he is sure far smarter than most gaming "journalists" and analysts out there).

Ha I do remember thinking to myself "wtf...?" when I opened up my copy of MW2. I despise that flimsy "environment friendly" excuse for a casing. But at the same time, I find it laughable that THIS would be the issue that finally sends Malstrom over the edge, after all the in depth topics he's delved into. Plus I've yet to see a Wii game that uses this type of casing, unless they JUST started implementing them.

Is it just me, or does he sound like a hardcore gamer.

Veder Juda is hand crafted from EPIC FAIL, and is a 96% certified Looney; the other 4% is a work in progress.

Actually, it will be used in Wii games as well, and maybe PS3's. But I foind strange thhat he would abandon gaming because of a case. I understand someone who abandons gaming because of the game itselves, but the way they are stored?

Above: still the best game of the year.

Wait what?

What changes to the cases are being made?

I didn't actually know about this, since I never took note of these cases myself (they're more my brother's games).

So, I just took a look at my MW2 case, and it's pretty flabby (paper thin). It does suck, though I'm not exactly the type to quit gaming over it.

Malstrom is quite obviously serious here, of course this is another of those cases where his own emotions distorn his logic. Being a consumer oriented company is one thing, but expecting them to fight all changes, however small & meaningless (wonder how many people even noticed this change) is unreasonable.

BTW, it would save more plastic to remove a chink of the front panel, leaving just under an inch each side to hold the instructions in place.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

No. He's starting to become what he criticizes the most. Over the last year his blog has degraded due to needless rants, including his idea that Nintendo was going "User Generated Content" when one could argue that Wii Sports and Animal Crossing were not UGC.

It was the words from Reggie and other people from Nintendo that made him know that. He didn't just surmise it from those games.

They were, there are clear statements by iirc Reggie stating the company itself is going to focus heavily on User Generated content as the next real big gaming era.
