I think the game would've sold better if it had multiplayer, tbh.

I think SE should just makes Tales of FF XIII on the Wii with 4 player co-op. So basically, a new FF XIII game different from the main one, Agito, and Versus and have it be co-op and a Tales like battle system would work. And keep it as high quality for Wii standards as those other FF XIII games are high quality for their respective platforms. Also market it right and don't ignore it and it would sell a ton.

Please don't insult the FF franchise by linking it to Tales of soriku......FF Haeresis 13 should be for Wii, it should be turn based like FF10, not like FF7 or 9 or 8....FF10's battle system was amazing

{gallops away on his dog}

In all honesty...are three platforms not enough for 1 game? Now we want a Wii version too? If that's the case, what about the DS? Why would all platforms except the best selling one get their own FFXIII?

It all depends on FF13's sales

if the main game isn't big then the spin off titles won't do much either

FF13 needs to establish the XIII brand

& S-E will make sure it does this

If FF13 does sell 10 Million WorldWide which I expect it to, definetely expect spin off FF13 titles on the DS

possibly a Revenant Wings style game on DS

Yes 10 Million world wide

ioi expects strong sales with 8 million worldwide

I will go a step ahead, I expect 10 Million through massive marketing, starved JRPG console gamers gobbling it up & the mainstream appeal FF13 has the potential to have. Going multiplat will help achieve this

In order to fund the entire XIII compilation S-E had to know in their mind that FF13 will be huge, they will have to make it absolutely huge

People say JRPG's are gone, they say JRPG's aren't popular, those people forget that FF13's huge mainstream appeal never made people see it as a JRPG, it was never marketed as a JRPG, it was marketed as the best RPG.

My prediction is based on potential, which can be tapped if everything done right

Damn I didn't know about ioi's prediction. I'm crossing my fingers...if XIII manages to pull in 10 million I will be one happy motherfucker.

SE and Nintendo should put up Bus ads like Sony and Sqaure did with Final Fantasy 7. That was SERIOUS advertising. This form of advertising to gamers who already know about the game is a waste of time. Those who already know about the game already know if they are going to buy it or. No amout of no advertising will help :P

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

I might get it....i'm not a fan of the Crystal Chronicles brand.

it deserve to sell more, but demographic isn't supporting it

Yes, the Wii audience is finally sick of shitty spinoffs and "tests".  Bring the real thing (like MoHun, Tales or Musou did) or don't bother.

More like a niche group that knows nothing about the games is talking out of their asses. I WANTED this game for years now. It isn't a spinoff, and it has a larger budget than probably all of the previous games comibined. I guess some people just want them to port a downgraded version of FFXIII though....

Oh, I think CCCB looks infinitely more interesting than FFXIII.  And as an ARPG nut, I'm pretty sure I'll like it more.  But c'mon, it's a spinoff of a spinoff, it's not actually an RPG, it was launching less than a month ahead of FFXIII and even it's producer was saying it was gonna flop... the writing was on the wall for this one.  It's too bad, but no one should be surprised.

And make no mistake, MH3's budget likely dwarfed it by orders of magnitude.

Firstly, I wouldn't consider it a Spinoff because it isn't a side-story.

Secondly, if somebody did consider it a spinoff, it has always have been. I don't see why they are complaining now when the series -- since it's premier -- has been a spinoff in their book. Nothing has changed other than a "LARGER" budget. Even then, I consider it a series of its own with the Final Fantasy name to back it up.

They're saving that sort of effort for DQIX/X.

It's a spinoff of a spinoff.  The FFCC games were multiplayer Action RPGs, this is a sandbox adventure game.
