... I'm sorry, I'm probably really stupid when it comes to this stuff, but honest to god, I can't see a difference.

play on a HD you will see the difference.

Somehow I doubt it. I don't see how turning a Wii-game HD suddenly makes it look better. But as I said, I probably suck at this stuff so that might be why.

HD TV.

I have a HDTV downstairs, where my 360 is hooked up. Now, I haven't played my Wii games on it, but I have played other games on it like Symphony of the Night, and I don't see the big deal.

Connect your 360 to a SDTV then.

OT: Looks much better.

Well it doesn't look to much better to me. Probably because its not in motion.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

yeah not worth the anything. It looks just as good on my SD tv as those pics.

I looks great, you can immediately tell Nintendo used higher quality assets than they really needed for 480p. This'll probably be the poster child for uprendering on Wii HD/Plus/II/2/whatever.

I think the best reason for a Wii HD would be to banish these obnoxious "Nintendo game in HDD!!!!!!!" threads that pop up at least once a month.

Yay. Pixels. Woo.

To the people saying there is no difference, ugh. Say you don't care about the difference, or that some textures render poorly in HD, or that NSMBWii looks fine in SD. All of that would be fine. But there is a difference. I mean come on, what resolution are your computer monitors?

RIGHT CLICK -> VIEW IMAGE to see the whole thing. Please make sure you look at these photos in their native resolution.

Wii first, Dolphin second.

I just bought a new toshiba HDTV and honestly NSMB Wii it looks very near HD quality on it. maybe it's just the high quality of the tv, but the game looks outstanding for a wii game.

@ameratsu

My SD TV looks better than that IGN photo, in fact it looks more like the dolphin image.

What most of us are saying is that its not that big of a difference to actually care about. NSMBWii is not the game you want to base the Wii HD case on. It would be better to use a more graphically useful game.

I want an HDTV and of course I'd enjoy HD games, but, for the most part it just isn't that big of a difference to actually care about.

To me its the same idea I use for movies.

I won't pay $10 to go to a theater and watch a comedy or drama flick. However, I do for 3D cartoons or SciFi/Action blockbusters like Transformers or Avatar. To me, unlike a large percentage of movies, games just aren't at the level that I *must* have HD graphics. Just doesn't enhance the enjoyability of most games to make it worth it.

But, that might be the difference between and 34 year old 2600/NES gamer to that of a new kid who started with a PS2.
