Forums - Nintendo Discussion - When game "journalists" have their trolling exposed.

So Game Journalists are trolls when they are critical of the Wii? But when they do it to the Xbox 360 and PS3 they aren't? Come on stop the double standards

They are if:

1.Their being factually incorrect to promote an opinion.

2.Double-standard across systems (which is very prevalent).

Wii is a different market than the PS3 and 360. Nintendo is probably going to take over the traditional videogame market, while Sony and Microsoft look as though they're going to end up with the much smaller PC gaming market, on console.

The word "hardcore" is about as ridiculous as adding something like "radical" before the word gaming, it is just a word that is meant to make peoples nerdy habits sound cool.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I don't think the problem is that third party games don't sell on Wii, it's that good third party games don't sell as well as they should. Cheap shovelware makes a better profit on the system selling only a little less than big budget titles that bleed out at the bottom of the charts.

How many times do we have to say "why didn't 'game X' sell moar!?!" before people realize that there is, in fact, a trend, and not some vast HD-Wing conspiracy?

Last I counted, Wii Ware (DLC) and Virtual console  has more million sellers than Xbox 360  (which had a year head start and still LOOSING) and Sony's Ps3.  They can BASH and HATE and MISIFORM all they want to but the numbers speak for themselves.  Wii Rulles in sales and in DLC an in the Gaming Gamers HEARTS. Shows money to be made, money to grow and money to make "shovelware".  Didnt say it had to sell but someone is being paid for it to be made.

Elaborate. Please.

Seconding the "elaborate, please." Please provide a list of these "big-budget titles that bleed out at the bottom of the charts" and that deserved to sell, say, a million units or more.

Pre-emptive: Dead Space Extraction (the on-rails prequel to a game not on the Wii that didn't sell spectacularly to begin with, in a genre already oversaturated on the Wii) doesn't count, nor do niche games like Little King Story that wouldn't have sold well on any system.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

The Modern Warfare one?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Updated the OP with the third example.
