No, the real reason would be he thinks the PS3 orange box looks better then the PC version... that's just silly.

I presume he meant better than the 360 version, and worded it badly.

If he did mean the PC version, he's a lost case, and let's throw him onto the ignore list with Pachter and BruceOnGames (except we make threads about everything they say...)

I agree with Gearbox (who have a fantastic game out currently Borderlands); I understand that all developers cannot support all platforms-but to also criticize the platform as well makes that developer in my eyes seem "childish". I still think that they should have continued to support orange box on the ps3 with mod support like Epic did with UT3. But that is my opinion, other than that he is correct about the laziness of valve-but it is up to valve what platform they wish to support (I would have loved playing Left for dead on my ps3, but I am enjoying it on the pc so no lose for me).

The controler should not even count.It was a good controler and that's why they kept it.And i think he's talking about the hardware.

I would hope so.  I mean Borderlands... the game he made for example... looks better on PC then the other two... or at least that's what his team says.  Haven't really compaired.

Really it's kind of funny for me...

Since TF2 is my favorite competitive FPS and borderlands is my favorite singleplayer/coop FPS.

Still, it's just like Epic trying to belittle the Wii... it's just what you do.

Hell i'm surprised Valve even ports to 360.

I bet they're real money maker is Steam... and Valve games are what give steam an advantage of other digital distribution.

By performance is he just referring to FPS or does this also refer to load times, how bug-free, glitch-free, etc. things run? So as long as FPS is high enough that people don't notice any slowdown (I think most people can't notice beyond 30 FPS), it's ok to sacrifice some FPS for better visuals. But if by performance we're also talking about shorter load times, less bugs, less glitches, less screen tearing, less graphical screw-ups, etc. then yes performance is more important. The amount of bugs that are popping up in games this gen is intolerable. Especially when you consider that not everyone has broadband internet access (some people can't even get access to it. They gotta rely on satellite internet, which is slow, expensive as hell and doesn't give you enough bandwidth to work with per month). Patches are making game developers more lazy and encouraging them to rush unpolished games to release. Just like they did to PC game developers.
