Forums - Sales Discussion - Hmm PS3 has sold 4 million more then 360 had last year.

Looking at VGchartz, 360 had 21.5 million units sold this time last year (it's 3rd year on the market) and PS3 has 25.5 currently (its third year on the market). So considering this data I would say that the PS3 outselling the 360 isn't just "possible" but likely.

Yes that's right, console sales should always be expected to occur in a vacuum. No event could ever effect the sales of both consoles at the same time, could they?

360 is also TWICE the price of the cheapest model PS3! Oh and it has been out selling it this hole generation. at TWICE the price.

while it does prove that ps3 sells better than 360, it doesn't really mean anything.

that makes no sense? The 360 cheapest model launched either at $399 or $299.. the ps3 launched at $599 and $499, the 360 currently is cheaper than the ps3, $199 vs $299

both stats are red herrings however.

only LTD counts..

now everyone move along nothing to see here.

he is trying to see the ps3 is selling at a much faster rate than the 360 did in its 2-3rd year.

Yeah, I'm sure that was Sony's ultimate goal. Outsell the 360 if you skew the numbers in some wacky way.
