As much as I love Ratchet and Clank, I don't think it'll be a big system seller. On the other hand Uncharted 2 has a buzz. Some non-gamers asking me about Uncharted 2 which is a bit surprising. So I think there'll be a nice but not big huge rise in PS3 system moved this week. I'm guessing +50K units from the previous week.

There was this guy at my nearby game shop who bought a PS3 a week ago and had come today.
He was beside me with his friend and they were talking where the hell was UC2 since it wasn't on the shelf. They later asked the shop's cashier and they said that it was sold out.
The guy later said "i bought the PS3 for uncharted 2 and its sold out?"
So yeah it would sell a few systems but not like MGS4 standards.

I was playing with a guy on U2 that just bought a PS3 a few days ago. He said he bought KZ2, and U2 because they were recommended. He was a self proclaimed 360 fanboy this gen but finally bought a Ps3 because he owned a Ps2 last gen. He kept saying "OMG this game is awesome". LOL. My guess is that part of the reason why he bought the ps3 is the number of upcoming exclusives the PS3 has as opposed to the 360 who has some but nothing major besides SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION, which really isn't an "exclusive" since it's coming out for PC (thank god cuz my PC can run it).

so FF13 is a system seller in Japan where FF's sell 2 - 3 million

But GT5 isn't a system seller even though its prequels sold around 5 - 6 Million in EU

I know a few people who have purchased PS3 over the past few weeks Ready for Uncharted 2. And i know a few more who are getting Uncharted 2 bundle

Only Splinter Cell?  So you must never have heard of Mass Effect 2, Allan Wake, Crackdown 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Forza 3, Halo: Reach, or Fable 3 all coming out within the next ~1 year at some point?

any game can become a system seller....when a game creates and sustains talk about how great it us more and more people will be pulled in to play it....the key is sustaining that talked about buzz. will uncharted 2 do that? i dont know but if sony markets it through christmas keeping it in the public eye and the gamers continue to talk about what a great gaming experience it us then yes it will be a system seller

god of war will not sell 4-5 million copies. more like 2-3

Modest little bump at best I'd expect. Guess we need HW sales to be sure, but I'd be surprised. I think only GT5, FFXIII and GoW3 remain as titles some folks might not get a PS3 for until they're actually out.

I think 360 is well past system sellers now, as shown by ODST, with PS3 not far behind it. Price and overall library now, plus market forces.
