I must be illusional , but it "looks" only slightly better than super mario galaxy in my opinion. And that slightly that I put is was just so fanboys don't lash at me. I keep on looking at this and super mario galaxy and can't see much difference. I am sure that this will look much better in a 40 inch tv though. I think this also runs at 60 while smg runs at 30

Download native resoultion feeds and watch on something that can run both of them, Ratchet makes Mario look  seriously old gen.

I think you mean delusional, but I'm inclined to agree with you.  The lighting looks flat, the textures look low-res... this is not a visually impressive game.  And I have played previous R&C games.  I've also seen other PS3 games that completely blow this one out of the water.

Mario has a better art style and far more interesting invironments

Plus R&C has really crummy lighting. Seriously, it looks just like a PS2 game in that aspect.

(oh, and everyday shooter is better)

Yeah, I too can tell the difference between a bad feed and a game with bad lighting.  No amount of feed quality will make this game stop looking so flat.

I'm not wowed with the graphics but they do look more than adequate, I would give it probably a 9/10, somewhere in the "very good" range.

The game itself looks very fun, even though the melee attack looks like it could get a bit repetitive... but luckily one of the central gameplay elements is all of the special tools you can use to your advantage and with a large arsenal at your disposal you should have no issues finding new and pleasurable ways to deal with your enemies throughout the game.

I have no doubt this will be a solid PS3 title this year and is likely going to be a very compelling reason behind many PS3 purchases over the holidays.

the video does not do the game justice.

Unfortunatlly I have to agree , I played all 4 PS2 R&C games + Size Matters , and what Ive seen here didnt surprised me ... I think that the formula is getting a wee bit old :?

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I'm really looking forward to this game. I've played the demo and loved it, and this gameplay combined with the reviews and the 1up preview means that I will definitely be getting this game when it comes out. My brother is currently in the US, and is leaving on the 23rd, so can hopefuly pick it up at JFK as he leaves

IF Ratchet looks like PS2 game, does that make Galaxy a n64 game.  Look at at the crummy aa th elow polygon count and overall crummy graphics and simplistic level design.

yahh very interesting.

 more then this

I have a HUGE dilemma guys...

Which should I buy... a PS3 Starter Pack with RFOM & MS or a huge chunk of Wii games and a PSP?

Helps pls :(

It is a hardcore game through and through. You will get your ass kicked by bosses. You will be stumped by the sometimes complex, but never overbearing, exploration.
