I would rather have a full fledged 2D Castlevania on Wii.

I'd like to see more 2D games too, but there just isn't that many people now a day that's keen to buy 2D retail games due to misconception of the value of 2D gaming versus 3D gaming...
I am a PC gamer, and also have a NDS now, but without access to a Nintendo Wii until End of 2007.
Currently playing: Super Smash Brothers Brawl(Wii), Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer(DS), Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS), WiiFit(Wii)
Games Recently Beaten: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (Normal; Very Hard after the next DLCs become available)

I really hope NSMBWii changes that mentality.

I think a lot of us are hoping this. But at least we are getting some morsels on WiiWare, which is better than nothing. But yes, by all means I do wish they were putting effort into a good new 2D Castlevania rather than a 3D version that is unlikely to be a good game.

Castlevania is always one of my faovirte series, but all I want to know is 1) if IGA ISN'T making it (I hope) and 2) If it really is a remake of Castlevania Adventure.
If it is a remake of Castlevania Advenutre...I'm going ot have mixed feelings on that. Because it was one of the few lackluster Platformer Castlevania games. But that was mostly just due to horrible programming and near impossible level design (needing perfect jumps and memorizing enemy locations, etc).

Sonic has a much better chance of doing that.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Uhh, what alternate reality are you from?
You do not have the right to never be offended.

The reality that assumes sales of a 2D game on PS360 are more important than sales on just one console. If those owners do not see Sonic 2d as valuable then a resurgence in 2D gaming in general, irrelivent of the Wii's 2d popularity, will not be as likely.
