I've read quite a few lists over the past few weeks, of multiple website top consoles. And even a few from some normal people. And after seeing the spots given to each system and the reactions of those around me here at VGChartz, I thought it would be a good idea to get your personal opinon on the matter.
I hope to see no arguements in this, as it is only our own opinions. I also hope that anyone who responds will give their personal reasons why their consoles are in their top list.
However many you want to list, and why they make that spot. I'll start.
1. PSOne
The first Playstation was amazing. I will admit that I arrived late in its era of amazement. Even after that I still got to enjoy some of the greatest games that I have come to love (You can check my collection for the list of those games).
2. NES
The NES was my very first console. I loved it, and my mom loved Dr. Mario way too much. I played the first of many great games and loved every bit of it. My youth would never have been complete without this system and the games it had to offer.
3. PS2
The Playstation 2 introduced me to many series that I have grown to love so much over the years prior and the new, amazing games that I came to love on this system (once again, check my collection, as at the moment I am drunk and too lazy to write the games in, sorry).
4. N64
My very first system after my Genesis. At the time I had to choose between the Playstation and this. And at the time and even now, I fee that I did not choose the wrong system. I got to experience some of the best games of our time. Goldeneye, Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda and Mario Kart to name a few.
5. Sega Genesis
What can I say, at the time I had to choose between the Genesis and the SNES, and I chose the Genesis. But I had some great times, especially with my friends. Zombies Ate My Neighbors, General Chaos, all the Sonic games, the many sports games that I got and the many many other games that I just can't seem to remember to list.
______
These are my top five. I give a special thanks to the Atari 2600, the first system I ever played, at my cousin's house, we had a lot of fun with that one.
Also a special thanks to the PS3, a system that is quickly making it's way up my list. Thanks to the additions of it's newer exclusives and the continuation of some of the best series I have ever played.
