Makes you wonder wth IGN AU was thinking....

Site hits, or alternatively, they weren't.

Or they just have a different opinion.

The bias in Wii owners on who is a good reviewer or not is amazing.  Usually the good reviews are thes who give high scores it seems, based on the latest game release only, of course?

Look at yourselves, IGN AU give the game a 6.5 which is one opinion, then IGN UK give an 8.9 and this one opinion is suddenly the trump card which overwrites IGN AUs opinion with claims "WTH IGN AU was thinking?" That clearly makes sense.

If Eurogamer gave a 7/10 then it seems IGN AU was more in line with the general scores so far.

This may very well be the case but if you are looking for a fanboy complaining about low review scores you are looking in the wrong place.  I have a long standing dislike for IGN AU due to their history of imprecise and inconsistent reviews and the fact that for the past 9 months i have been automatically redirected to their site despite typing the address for the main site.  So no, i'm not complaining about the score, IGN AU have a long established lack of crediblity in this regard as far as I am concerned, so i care not what they have to say.  I just thought i'd take the opportunity to have a cheap shot at the site ;)

Its getting great reviews. Will it beat Wiifit?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Makes you wonder why people have different opinions on different things at all...

FootballFan - "GT has never been bigger than Halo. Now do a comparison between the two attach ratios and watch GT get stomped by Halo. Reach will sell 5 million more than GT5. Quote me on it."

So IGN UK are good reviewers?

so which IGN review does metacritic take? USA? or all?

They'd pick whichever they feel like at the moment. Quick, someone send 'em a bucket o' money.

Metacritic takes everything. IGN US, UK, AU, they'd even take one from Portugal (they have Eurogamer Portugal on there. Hell, they have The Onion as a credible review source. How long before they add Comedy Central?)

Looks like reviewers are finally getting in touch with what gamers want out of games nowadays. Of course I dread the 25 to 50 or more clones of Wii Sports Resort that third parties will put their efforts into making for the Wii now in an attempt to replicate WSR's success.

In my opinion if Nintendo is destined to be number one in this industry again, then they really need to bring back the NES' old Seal of Quality.

Quote for truth, my friend!!

I really don't get the trend. They actually like to play bad games... it's so weird. And weirder thing is that they say it's good anyway.

In the Water Warfare review the same thing happened. Bias Nintentards, for sure...

I could say the exact same words as you except throw in Sony, or Microsoft and a flame war would erupt.
