when I wake up i think about what Valve said...oh no wait. fuck valve and its primitive looking games

graphics isn't everything, that's why KZ2 isn't the end of all FPS on consoles, we've already covered that ground too.

Yeah? untill you play KZ2 and all of the sudden every game on 360 looks extra regular. Why are you talking about KZ2 again and again ? do you want one ? go get it...stop crying about it

I returned it lol, that's old news by now, I'm a PC gamer too, consoles look like ass anyways so I don't really care about graphics on consoles.

I think people are just angry that it reminds them about how lazy all the PS3 exclusive studios are in releasing for only one platform. Its insecurity I tell you!

Tease.

Not really.

I could say I support gaming companies like Bioware, Blizzard, etc that make opposing exclusive games for other consoles I don't own. Its just that I dont own any of their games(cuz i dont use or have the systems). Yet the point is I can respect their work ethic. I don't hear THOSE companies complaining about consoles being too hard to develop for yatta yatta. I much rather they skip the excuses. If you dont want to make a game on a particular console, fine, just say so. Don't constantly be trying to make it seem like somethings wrong with that console tho when its really your programmers are elementary level at best for gaming.

To me it seems like they just want to do whatever uses the least amount of effort, a quality not becoming of a good game developer. They make millions of dollars every title yet they refuse to get more staff members? They just dont want to grow for some reason.

And I have never been interested in a Valve game other then Team Fortress. They just don't appeal to me as developers that way. I know plenty of other PS3 owners do/or at least did find their games interesting though.

Regarding your respect for Blizzard... they tend to publicly scoff at the idea of ever porting their software to consoles, with clear distain that comes across as consoles being toys incapable of properly handling what a PC can handle.  Personally, I disagree with them, but I'm not going to call them poor quality developers because of it... they've made their platform choices, and I can respect that.

You should send an email to them and ask when their going to port Starcraft, Warcraft, World of Warcraft, Diablo, etc. to consoles.  You will probably get a polite reply stating that they have no current plans to address those platforms, but if you get a chance to talk to someone at Blizzard (I happen to know someone who works there) and they really open up, you will probably hear a lot of laughter at the suggestion.  I don't take it personally... it's just a difference of opinion.

Interestingly, they (Blizzard) allowed ports of both Warcraft and Diablo onto the PS1 back in the day.

Don't know whats stopping them from allowing a similar port to consoles today.

You hate valve because they don't have the same beliefs as you? Since when do consoles become so powerful and godly that people hate developers who prefer other consoles? I guess you hate Bethesda too, after Fallout 3 came out completely inferior to the PC and 360 versions. The worst part is that it was because of the technology in the PS3 and not Bethesdas fault. There are a lot of PS3 games that are exclusive to the PS3 that devs say cannot be done on the 360. Do all people get mad?....no.....they buy PS3's. Take me for instance.

This is going in the "sony fanboy" pile of evidence.

Seriously.. valve.. sucks... no. That is incorrect.

That's a very good question.  I believe they were dipping their toes into the console water during a time when many people thought that console gaming was going to destroy PC gaming.  That obviously didn't happen, so I'm guessing they decided the low ROI of the experiment didn't justify it.

One thing about Blizzard is they want to keep pushing the hardware, just like id and a number of other PC developers.  PC gamers will often go out and buy a new motherboard, graphics card, etc., just to be able to play the latest game, or to play a current game better.  With consoles you have a locked-in hardware performance ceiling that doesn't go away until the next generation of consoles, which might be 4+ years later.  Yes, there are ways to keep improving how the hardware on a console is used as time goes on, but the same can be said about PC hardware (new DirectX drivers, etc.).

It was an honest answer, and for that, I do respect Valve. My Xbox seems to like them as well.

Yeah this is great news, Valve is so cool, now im buying L4D2. Oh and L4D2 is only on 360 and pc.
