Rushed Prototype? The device has been in development since 2005...

Riiight. And Natal isnt MSs attempt to gain Nintendos 'casual' market.

Here's a video from 2007....I can't confirm the 2005 because I don't know where the copyright is written but they have been working on it since 2005 "supposedly."

I can see it in development since 07, but not 05. Its probably just PR crap to try and prove their 'originallity'. In 05 hardly anyone thought Wii would be sucessful. It wouldnt make sense for companies to follow a plan that was thought to be a comersial failure. In 07, thats a different story.

I think he is implying that another one won't be released this gen, not that it will be taken over to PS3 or 360.

While I agree with those saying that the game has a serious lack of polish. It has some of the best boss battles of any game I have ever played, and the quirky story was very cool. The last two bosses in particular were pretty epic IMO...

The funny part is, despite the praise the game has gotten, I think it is as shallow a game as the mini-game collections that come out on the Wii. This game really won't really gain any more attention from the HD crowd because games like Assasin's Creed are much, much better games. The only reason NMH gets attention as is, is because it stands out for being different from other Wii games, especially with a M rated title. For an HD system, games like God of War 3 and Assasins Creed 2 and Modern Warfare 2 will leave a Suda production in the dust.

I have to agree. Whenever a half-way decent game is released on Wii, people go crazy. But only for that very reason, that its on Wii. The PS360 get quality releases all the time, Wii gets a bi-monthly (if at that) good game. Look at The Conduit. No one would give a rats ass if it was released to compete with Resistance, Modern Warfare, Halo, L4D, etc. The very fact that its a Wii release is what its all about.

Actually I don't give a rats ass about Halo and Modern Warfare. Stop talking for everyone please because it's far from true.

Give me a break. Whenever anyone claims a general statement involveing 'everyone' of course its not true. There will always be a group of people that will stand out. I can say 'everyone thinks puppies are cute' and it will not be true. Your free to disagree with whatever, but i think it was given and obvious that not everyone liked Halo, MW, etc. so posting a reply like this is overkill IMO.

Think of it this way. At the absolute minimum (especially given HD dev times), they would have a 3rd entry done by 2012. By that point, Nintendo will have another console, at least on par with PS360 in terms of technical specs, if they haven't been replaced  by then, too.

This is not a statement to freak out about.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Hmm As long as it remains on Wii, I think it would be a slap in the face to the fans if it went PS360

man I'm going to love Nintendo move on console upgrade. It's going to be something no one expects and it's going to piss off so many people.

It will be interesting to see how NMH(if it indeed does go to another platform) will handle next generation mass market shift.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

NMH is far better than any game I played on my HD systems (valkyria Chronicles comes close), and when you compare it to the crappy, boring, half baked and stupid Assassin's Creed, I honestly feel, on the one hand, offended, and on the other hand, that gamers are getting what they deserve, like in the movies: the some old saturday afternoon brainwash games.

they should just develop for the wii since its the best console

DS version confirmed?

Fucking sellout.
