Got to love Japanese modesty haha.

lol...If he replied like that to me, I would have asked him how he felt about switching from cartriges to optical media back in the day.

Or how it felt turning sony down for a CD add-on only to have them take over the market for 2 generations.

Lol... I'm sure he would respond something like this:

I'm too lazy to pull up their profits over those years, but they haven't been eating canned beans.

I dk if Miyamoto really gives 2 shits about market share, loading times or any of that cd/cartridge crap. He is the creative one, not the business man.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Oh so after all... Nintendo, once again... was right. No wonder Miyamoto is considered to be the best game designer. And of course, Nintendo the best Video game company ever.

Kudos

Yes they are right once again...jsut like when they were forcing 3rd parties to sign exclusive agreement contracts with the NES, or when they stuck with cartriges...or when they released the virtual boy

Face it, nitendo has been hit and miss as much as any company.

Sony announces an accessory for a motion technology they introduced 7 years ago and they are copying Nintendo? Interesting.

i didnt realise they made the wands 7 years ago

sony copies everything man, last place consoles gotta get 'creative'

The eyetoy is from 2002/2003 and this new remote/wand they made is for the eyetoy, which was patented back in 2005.

Eh, i guess he should be flattered. Afterall, this is not a logical technological advancement like better graphics or higher disk storage space, but a true innovation. Making competitors adopt this is a sweeter victory indeed
