Forums - Gaming Discussion - E3 winner: Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo?

I've been saying for days that i don't care who 'wins' E3 as i find the whole idea stupid but the bias present in the overall message section is rather blatant.

Plus not even mentioning the new Mario Galaxy or Metroid game is a total fail.

What's the point of trying to prove to everyone that Company A B or C have won?

I would say 360, Wii, PS3, but you could barely slide a piece of paper between each. It's all in your tastes.. Personally, I thought FFXI sucked, so an exclusive next gen version (and wasn't XIII an exclusive a little while back, too?). Won't be buying it, and that was the only big deal Sony had. I'm happy for the new games for the Wii, but I don't play mine as much. 360 is my console of choice, and it didn't dissapoint, and also sowed the seeds for some future excitement that I have to say edges out the competition. Still, healthy cynicism keeps me from going all fanboy on that.

SMG 2 is good, Golden Sun ROFLROFLROFLROFL FAIL

Nope, Actually Microsoft and Sony's motion controller fails. The Wii already had motion controller theirs are just cheap rip offs.

Is this thread a joke?? Where is SMG2 (with freaking Yoshi!), NSMB, Metroid, and Zelda: Spirit tracks/Mario &Luigi/Golden Sun DS???

I think we can all agree that all 3 of the Big Console makers did great. Sony got rights for arguably the biggest sequel their system will see (FF), MS got MGS:Rising which, depending on how you see it, is a step in the right direction for them, and Ninty renewed its vows with the casuals (Wiifit: Plus) and the core (Metroid and Mario Galaxy 2)... but personally....

i think ninendo did the best.... they knew all along that motion sensing was the future of gaming... and Sony and MS constantly said how they weren't competing with the big N and
how they were being gimicky.... hmmm.... I guess now u can say all three of you are in the same
race.

Nintendo was right all along... that alone wins 10 E3's for me :D

So, what does it mean to "Win E3"?

I ask this because most competitions have objectives or measures which can lead to an unbiased determination of winners and losers ...

Nintendo (A)
Microsoft (B+)
Sony (C-)

Maybe the warm and fuzzy feeling of "I know more then you! I said [X] and everybody thinks the same!" or even "I'm with the cool guys that on the E3!"

But I do think along the lines: Which media briefing was more interesting? What didn't you like?

I think that sony could make much better if they didn't spend so much time showing lousy videos.

I think that Nintendo could make much better if they spent more time showing a few things in a more detailed way.

And 'bout Microsoft, they should show more emphasis on the "only on XBOX360", at least more then "and know, we will show a few that... *YAWN*".

I got really impressed with the sony's motion control. And overall I usually like their briefing more then the others.

As has been mentioned in other threads, the E3 finale will be a cage match with each of the major players nominating one person to represent the company.  Last person standing wins E3 for their company.  Reggie is the obvious choice for Nintendo and a reliable inside source has already confirmed his selection. Sony and Microsoft remain tightlipped.

For me they were all to close to call.
