Somebody has told that this site undertracks the european numbers.

While i'm pretty much sure that it tracks western europe's numbers pretty good, i'm also sure that in eastern europe PS3 isn't selling all that good for 2 reasons only:

1. no modchip is available
2. new PES isn't out yet

Actually I can go out and buy a modified PS3 which can run all games from the HDD ... And it would only take me 500 Euros and ~ 20 minutes ...

I suggested this to ioi a while back, and I still think it's a good idea.  If its possible to project the number of units sold to retailers, the site could show the graphics this way:

with a little blurb at the bottom indicating that it is showing the number of sales to customers out of the number of sales to retail, or something like that.  The projected number of units sold to retailers could be updated everytime something official is announced, and automatically accumulated at whatever the last known rate was.  Anyway, just a suggestion.  I think it would help clear up things to people not understand what is really tracked.

Wow, I really like that... it would solve alot of issues. It wouldn't be a counter, maybe "(shipment number) as of Dec 07"

thats what i mean though, the shimpent[retail sales] numbers only come out every 3 months. Wii would be ahead of its shipment figure 3 weeks after it released and ps3/360 would probably be very close to, if not past theirs when it suddenly jumps up. maybe we should have something seperate that shows the last reported shipment and what vgcharts had for sales at that time [rather than having to find it on the WW weekly]
