Average sale price is $290 according to pachter, so pretty firm majority Premiums followed by Arcades and those are trailed by Elite units.

Actually the X360 is less than half the price of PS3 in Europe already, because Europe got an extra X360 price drop, let's not forget that. And the PS3 is selling on par with X360 in continental Europe despite that.

 Impossible. If a $350 PS3 in 2009 gets matched by a $50 price cut on the X360, then X360 mite win the Holidays, but a $299 PS3 is no joke.

What about the $600 -> $400 price cut? The PS3 barely won, and Halo 3 isn't THAT big. But once the new year started, it was a completely different story.

I don't follow. But it don't matter, there's no reason to debate this because we won't see a $299 PS3 in 2009 anyway.

 (and once we're in 2010, a $299 PS3 won't feel so fantastic anymore)

I have not sen so many of these kinds of threads since last year around this time when the 360 was getting hammered by the PS3 i guess turn about is fair play but i prefer to not screw with karma

Don't forget that in some EU's country, gro$oft rebates 40€ for the X360 Pro, that means the true prize is 199€ for the X360 Pro. And even with that, sony is on. the future is sony in EU.

An arcade and a pro together is cheaper than a station lol.
