Forums - Website Topics - What audio/video feature would you like VGChartz to provide?

So, VGChartz is definitely lacking in the audio/video field.  We don't host our own videos or audio.

What are some good ideas for audio/video features VGChartz could start doing on a weekly basis?

-Video podcast?

-Audio podcast?

-Video reviews?

-Real world videos? (Go into the real world and film)

-Something like Zero Punctuation?

Think of some good ideas! What would you watch every week?

Video Reviews would be nice for new titles, and a funny video every now and then would be refreshing...

Guitar Hero 3/ Smash Hits

None, because I have a face for radio and no video recording equipment.

^^

...

When 2.0 is here with the "cheats" section, you could add an option to upload videos for walkthroughs, or showing what the cheat could do.
That would be pretty cool.

None. It is fine the way it is.

The occasional video review would be great! its always easier to review a game with visual backups as well.

None..no video. Don't morph the site. Keep it short, sweet and accurately to the point.

Ok, so for Audio, would it be possible to pick up a music service? For instance, the service like on Myspace whose name I cannot think of where you go to their website and add songs to your playlist, and I'm pretty sure it streams from their website. That'd be cool, as much as I'm on here, I'd definitely have a playlist.

If you're going to do video or audio for any kind of presentation, you've got to make SURE you have a good writer. Meaning, you want humor...anything you try to do will work as long as you include a healthy dose of humor. It will keep people interested in what you'll come up with next. Even a way at presenting numbers, or say a monthly report on sales and interesting numbers from around the world. Something like that minus the humor would work, but it would only work when you first start doing it, then it's popularity will start do dwindle away. In terms of keeping interest, if you include humor, video will be much easier to maintain than audio..it's a lot easier to add humor to video, because you have 2 ways to show it, as opposed to only one with audio.

So yeah..humor is key. It's not full of suggestions, more-or-less suggesting how to help anything you try to be successful.

So basically a crappy version of iTunes?

Last I checked, with iTunes the music is on your PC..right? And you have to pay also..right? Might be wrong..but it's actually a pretty good service.

*edit*http://www.playlist.com/  The service is called Project Playlist..it's actually pretty nifty.  Especially nifty would be to have a gmail-im-like window for VGC to use it in, as well as other audio and video features.  In other words, it would be nice whether they used this idea or had simple audio reports up, to be able to still navigate the site without messing the stream up.  You could always have 2 windows open but..it'd be really cool to have a window inside a window that doesn't close unless you close it, like gmail has=P
