As a CEO no ....As a writer Yes motherfucking Yes. His stories dont do the awesome gameplay of RG any good. Rouge Galaxy pisses me off because it was so original and so unique with an awesome gameplay to boot! only to have a mediocre story. And I hope WKC has a better story at least or I will be cheesed

Things just trudge along mindlessly in a story that makes Rogue Galaxy look like Xenogears.

Persona 3&4, TOA, Kingdom Hearts and Xenosaga is all I can think of.

Xenosaga Ep.1, Ep.2, Ep.3 (i didn't like gameplay of first two games, but Ep.3 is awesome in every way, storyline of the series are best of the bests, after Xenogears of course)

Digital Devil Saga 1,2 (very dark cyberpunk storyline, very good atmosphere and characters, but gameplay is for hardcore dungeon crawler lovers)

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne (dark and epic storyline, awesome atmosphere and hardcore gameplay for intelligent players)

Persona 4 (awesome gameplay, awesome style, awesome atmosphere and normal anime storyline with relaxing music)

.hack GU Vol.1, Vol.2, Vol.3 (gameplay is very repetitive and like low budget MMO, but storyline is very deep, beautiful and epic)

Suikoden 3, 5 (S5 has better story and gameplay is like S1 and S2 but camera angles and loading time ruins this game, S3 has better gameplay, well designed places but everything in this game goes with slow steps)

Shadow Hearts 1,2 (first has better story but representation sucks)

Odin Sphere (i didn't like gameplay, fighting fighting fighting, create potions, fighting fighting, boss, and beautiful fairy tale style visual novel, storyline is good but some characters are gay)

 

Final Fantasy X was gay, they took FF8 path, but this game never compares to FF4,FF6,FF7,FF9. Final Fantasy XII should be one of the best games but Squareenix made gay decisions (after that mastermind of this game and leader of development team yasumi Matsuno left company), so project failed

final fantasy X probably beings because it's my favorite game... though not sure  if its my favorite story or favorite whole.

shadow hearts covenant. Because it was so bizzare by god that was memorable.
Persona 3 because it's story kicked ass (if only it's dungeons were better).
Xenosaga, great story... pretty much the only reason why I played it.

I dunno. A lot of times there's JRPG's with good story's but I just die because the game bores me. And I die before I complete it.

Probably Final Fantasy X. I haven't played a lot of RPGs on the PS2, though.

I played Rogue Galaxy and the story was good. The gameplay was real time combat which I liked too.

Xenosaga trilogy,SMT DDS 1 2, SMT Nocturne, SMT Devil Summoner, Persona 3, SO3, DQ8, Shadow Hearts covenant. There are many more but for me those are the standouts. 

 

Own but yet to play - Persona 4 , SMT Devil Summoner 2, Shadow Hearts From the New World, Drakan.

I'm not a fan of strategy/tactical jrpgs so I haven't played many. So if someone can recommend one with a really good( and i'm talking "out of this world" good) story then please point me in the right direction.
