Killzone 2 is a ... failure IMO . On the other hand UT3 impresses me day by day , and so does FFXIII :D

You buy it to watch blue-ray movies and to play the few exclusives it has to offer.

And the most waried exclusive list there is ... man , people are really not aware that there are not just kiddie platformers or ,, hardcore " shooters out there :?

 I agree about the "buy it when your game comes out" philospophy.  However, the price also has to be within that magical golden limit that you set for yourself.  Hopefully the price drops are able to happen faster then everyone seems to think they'll happen.  I can't justify 500$ U.S. on a console for one game I want... but I could justify it a bit more if it's 200$ and there's a bunch of games I want or games I see coming down the line.  I think other's feel the same way (different costs though)...  there's always that game to console cost ratio that people are willing to pay.

The good games started months ago, so thanks for a useless thread provoking more fanboy fighting...in the Sony forum...I really appreciate it.

I hope you haven't compared the PS3 lineup to the Wii's anytime lately...

Yeah...Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Resistance, Lair (depending on who you are), Warhawk, Super Stardust HD (and many other PSN games...that's my favorite), RR7.

Later this year:  UT3, Haze, Home, LittleBigPlanet demo, Echochrome (PSN and PSP I believe), Everyday Shooter, Rachet and Clank:  Tools of Destruction, Uncharted:  Drake's Fortune, Time Crisis 4, and others...those are just off the top of my head....just this year.

Those "few" exclusives.  Not to mention the multiplatform titles that include PS2/Wii ports and 360 titles that aren't on the Wii.

 I really though that by posting this thread you meant to take a shot at Kaz. If I had known, I wouldn't have posted. And BTW, all consoles bring out their diamonds near the end of their cycle.

There is a difference between manifesting its full power and making "good" games. The latter can be done without the former.
You will be missing out on some great stuff if you are only interested in the games they will be releasing in 4-6 years.
Unless you mean you plan to catch up on 4-6 years of PS3 games at the time when the system and games are cheaper. Hey if you have the patience to do that....

 Sinear do you have an idea about anything, a playstation system lasting 10 years is possible.  The PS1 was being sold for 10 years, the PS2 has been out for over 7 years.  The PS3 will have the same lifespan.  The PS4 will be out before 10 years they are just saying that the PS3 will still be available in 10 years time.  

@ The original post, Sony is saying to master the system will take time like any system, the PS2 keeps getting better graphics with each game that comes out look at God of war comapred to the first year titles.
