SNK has revealed that its first batch of Neo Geo titles for Nintendo's Virtual Console service will be ready for Japan next month and the first game to grace Wii on September 11 is the classic beat-em-up Fatal Fury.

Nintendo originally announced back in February that Neo Geo titles would be set for download "this summer" but since then it's been pretty quiet. However, SNK has now blown its information lid and revealed that Fatal Fury, World Heroes and Magician Lord are the initial batch of games available for download.

But what's the bad news, we hear you cry? Well, so far, they've only been announced for Japan and each costs a whopping 900 Wii Points, which is roughly GBP 6.00 ($12 USD) - only 100 points less than an N64 game. We hope you've got some deep pockets if you're planning to download them all.

900 pts? I'll stick to the other systems, I think.

So what Neo Geo games do we need ??? I love NG games, the best IMO are: Metal Slug (already out on Wii), Samurai Shodown, Aero Fighters, Fatal Fury, King of Fighters

And the best one ever..... Windjammers

I haven´t bought any VC games yet but if Windjammers makes it I really have to, that game was just too awesome. 

yeah if there wasn't already a metal slug anthology released on the Wii, I would be all over this.

Well I suppose I'd rather buy a couple Metal Slug games for 1800 points instead...no...wait...I'd rather get the Anthology for $40. Probably could get it for about $30 now.

Yeah...but more games are never bad. I only buy VC games once in a while if they're really good or just feel like playing some oldies...800 points won't be the end of the world if I just buy one or two games.

so snes and genesis games are a deal at 8 dollars and neo geo games are whopping at 9 dollars, seriously I don't think anyone that wants to play neo geo games would complain about paying 9 dollars for stuff blazing star or magical drop,
seriously right now compared to the actual cost of original games the neo games will be the best deal by a large margin, seriously the cheapest neo geo games are atleast 20 dollars

This is a tiny bit off topic, but I´m sure to have seen fotage of a 3D Metal Slug in the works a while ago, I was very sceptic since Metal Slug doesn´t need another D but it was interestin non the less. Has anybody heard about this ???
