Yeah possible that they will react like that ''^^''.

I guess I just will go to Holland then for the game when I go there for some stuff.

for some stuff :P

Roosendaal's 'De Bazaar' FTW much better than the Zwarte Tulp IMO.

I like smartshops even better. but I love the The green grass aswel ;)

Hehe ik ben fan van het groene spul (smartshop ken ik eigenlijk niet wat is dat?).

English translation

The soccer team of Holland is great (the best of europe).

Still it would be strange that only NL will get it :s.

I don't know why Belgium, Scandinavian countries, Spain, France and the most east europe would not bring the uncut version on the market :s.

Yeah, you wish... it´s good, no question, but it hasn´t been the best in a very very long time... what place did they finish last Worl Cup ???

Oh and you didn´t translate everything, seems like you actually don´t know smartshop, what is that ? Right ?

News: Manhunt 2 Uncut In Netherlands Holland

, the land of various freedoms, is becoming the only country in the world to get Manhunt 2... uncut. News has broken on MCV that the currently banned title Manhunt 2, controversially denied a release world-wide due to its extreme content, will get a release in the Netherlands, completely un-cut.

The Dutch government has declined to stop the title's launch, despite America's ESRB and Europe's ELSPA rating boards warnings. The title was denied classification after criticism of its sadistically violent game settings, which has only raised the game's profile higher.

Dutch Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin has said: "The current law is based on the principle that every adult is considered capable of deciding for himself which games he wants to play, unless it contains illegal material."

While the US is getting a toned-down version of the game to satisfy censors with "Mature" rating, the rest of Europe have still to hear if the cut version of the title will be granted a release over here too.

take that rest of the world. /flex

So? I can buy the uncut version of Manhunt 2 on eBay. I just don't want to because Manhunt 2 is a disgusting game.

Why are you blaming America when it had nothing to do with the game not being allowed on Sony and Nintendo consoles, that was the decision of both those companies so they should be the ones who should have to answer for why they need to censor games for people in some countries but not in others.

Jack Thompson rings a bell? The reason AO games aren't allowed by those companies in America, and only in America, is your legal system, basically. Yes, lawsuits may get shot down everytime, same as were some anti-videogames laws that a few states tried to enact last year (as they were unconstitutional). But that's still a lot of dough lost in the process. Between that and consumer backslash (think nipple slips on TV), it's cheaper to just ban them outright.

We get our share of 18+ only games published in Europe (that's the highest rating there is), as your M games are split somewhat evenly between 16+ and 18+ (GTA was 18+, RE4 16+...) Japan gets a lot of ero games published, some in consoles even, whereas little more than an interactive nipple gets you AO there.

On topic, I have my doubts that Holland alone is gonna get a special version of this game, unless Rockstar is counting on exports to sell it all across Europe. The UK, Ireland, Australia and Germany are either gonna get a cut down version, or none at all. The rest of Europe I don't know. France, Spain and Itally usually get translated versions, right? Elsewhere, I'm guessing it's mostly english (though french and german are probably expected/required in neighboring countries)... But Rockstar sure won't support different versions, content and language-wise, on a country by country basis. The markets are too small for that.

Reality has a Nintendo bias.

Well said, indeed :D

Nothing's cheaper than something free.

F1 vs FOTA, when too much power is in couple peoples hands.
