And visually and technically it's far below the PC. So no, it raised no bars for the industry, just for a set of outdated consoles. Bragging about that is like Wii owners bragging about Monster Hunter 3 raising the bar for graphics. No, it raised the bar for Wii graphics, which is great, but has no effect on the industry's development.
In conclusion, there's a lot of shooters like Killzone 2, and it, like them, is just part of a mass of run-and-gun FPS games in a genre that has mastered how to be great but forgotten how to evolve.
