And visually and technically it's far below the PC. So no, it raised no bars for the industry, just for a set of outdated consoles. Bragging about that is like Wii owners bragging about Monster Hunter 3 raising the bar for graphics. No, it raised the bar for Wii graphics, which is great, but has no effect on the industry's development.

In conclusion, there's a lot of shooters like Killzone 2, and it, like them, is just part of a mass of run-and-gun FPS games in a genre that has mastered how to be great but forgotten how to evolve.

Who cares about hyped games I rather have good games and the 360 has plenty.

Good joke or load of crap ?

IMO, great frustrations brings hype --> The PS3 story...

Great games brings great sales --> The 360 story...

 

Is the difference between expectations/assumptions and facts/results...



 

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

No, the Xbox 360 doesn't need Killzone 2. It would sell if it was released but I doubt that outside of COD, TOB, GoW, Halo, and Left 4 Dead that theres a huge gap just waiting to be filled.

Your threads annoy me and I love Sony. Ps3 games are always over hyped because we haven't had a game sell as well as a 360 or Wii game yet, feel the need to prove you don't need a 360 through game genres that made Xbox popular but Sony hasn't had a standout game in, or some other lame reason.

What Ps3 game hasn't been over hyped to sell far less then peoples expectations? I love my console but these threads need to stop, you give fanboys a bad name imo.

From a graphical stand point, no i seriously doubt it. Look, the X360 is getting on a bit now. The graphics haven't really improved that much since GeOW 1 (Not GOW1) and while they are improving, it isnt by much. The PS3 looks like it has some way to go yet and by then the X360 will be considerably behind in the graphics department. However that is not to say it is impossible, for this to happen they need a really good developer and a massive budget and of course the game has to be exclusive.

But like i said, i seriously doubt it.

Being that you seem to be a Sony fan, I must ask the question. Why did you guys never talk about graphics, but quality of gameplay during the PS2 era? Psh.....hypocrites.
