I did so this generation, purchased PS3 at launch for GT5 and turned out to be the biggest mistake I have made in my gaming life. No idea when that game releases after almost 2 years since I purchased the rubbish system (IMO, yes IMO) for £425 and the console will probably be £200 when the game finally releases. Made one pleasant discovery this gen though which is the joy of renting games! £15 I can play as many games I want a month!

I originally bought my DS for Pokemon Diamond. I was not interested in any other DS games, and actually thought that the DS was very weird (2 screens, and 1 is touch.......wtf?). But I had to get my Pokemon fix.

However, after that time, I got a chance to play Kirby: Canvas Curse, and saw that 2 screens, as well as touch could work very well. And since that time I've played a lot of DS games and am very thankful that I have it........it's kept me entertained on the way to school everyday.

Bought PS2 just for Gran Turismo 4.

But I knew that there were plenty of good games.

But at the end I just got GT4 and Shadow of the Colossus.

I don't regret it.

PS2 for FFX (also I also of course finally bought FFX-2 and FFXII, I only have those 3 games on the platform).

I grabbed my PS2 for God of War, and my original Xbox for Ninja Gaiden.

I got my Wii for Twilight Princess.

A ds for revenant wings, a gamecube for crystal chronicles, a 360 for Jrpg's.

I bought a ps3 just for Wipeout HD. Felt like a bit of gimp for a while at buying an (imo) overpriced console just for a downloadable game, but I am now currently experiencing the Resistance games which I am quite enjoying.

I got my Wii for Nintendo

Yes, I bought an Xbox 360 just for Dead Rising.
