Well, Virtua Fighter 5 sold just over 50k first week on PS3 two years ago. PS3 installed base is a lot bigger now, and SFIV should be marketed a lot more than VF5, so I'm gonna go with 60k first day, 120k first week for PS3 version in Japan. Maybe 12k first day with 24k first week for X360 version

Yeah, I went through this thread, and some of the predictions were waaaaay off mark. 750k? Really? That's what Tekken 3 got it's first week, and those are numbers that are not only from what is probably the most popular fighter around, but also from when fighting games were at the height of their popularity.

That said, I expected a bit more. Even SC4 sold more than this, and I'm pretty sure that SF is more popular in Japan than SC. It should easily pass 100k for first week, though.
