Forums - Sony Discussion - Have you changed your mind on Killzone 2

I'm in the same boat as Christhegamer. I want to wait a bit so I can find this game cheaper or used. It didn't live up to my expectations and I have my reasons for not being completely sold on the gameplay as I discussed in another thread. Loved everything else about the game though but something in the gameplay felt just a tad off.

Great game and I hope all that enjoy it have an excellent time with it.

Alternate 2 and Hold zoom off?

Lol hell no

More hyped than I was. The demo was better than I expected. 1st-day purchase for me.

it is still a first day buy. I love FPS and this one is on top of my list I cant wait for the multiplayer position.

I think gamestop screwed the US fanbase,i just hope this still sells well.

Only the part which doesn't know how to log into euro account :)

Still I was thinking it will be pretty average console shooter, now after demo i think it's best console shooter  but I don't buy fps on console anyway so no changes here :D

Yes I have played the demo and had a pre-order, but now I think I will wait till it gets a bit cheaper as I was not impressed with the demo. But thats just my opinion. There was tooooo much hype and I was extecting something better than anything I have played and it was no way near as good as Gears or Crysis.

play through it.. around 3 times.. get to know the controls etc.. learn to use them. That will probably enchance your experience with it .. a lot

@ ot. Same as before.

Check out my game about moles ^

The graphics looked a little washed down in my opinion, but I think it's because it's a downloadable demo. That happens a lot with demos and games on blu-ray. Like Uncharted on blu-ray looked better than the downloadable demo. The sound is also nasty on demos.

But nah, I didn't change my mind. If anything I think the demo was too easy and short. I was in the beta and that was the ultimate determining factor for me. Is it me or did the beta look better than the demo?

Yes, the demo changed my opinion. Originally, I was planning on getting Killzone 2 sometime during launch week or at least no later than maybe mid-March. Now, I plan on getting it when the doors open on Feb 27.

The gameplay and intensity exceeded my expectations. I will confess I was a little disappointed in the quality of some of the textures, probably because I have been spoiled by PC games with resolutions at 1280-widths and beyond, but that doesn't detract from the superb animations and lighting in KZ2. It is the best looking console shooter I've ever seen, but I think there's quite a bit of hyperbole in the comments of those that were thinking this was going to be Crysis on an SLI machine with max details.

But still, the demo only increased the hype. I want this game more now than I did yesterday morning.

great game just played it on demo.

cross between cod4 and battlefield shooting mechanics.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

nope. played the demo and then went to my local gamestop and finished paying it off... for some reason if you pay the full amount before the game is on the store shelf you can just pick it up the day it comes out and get away without paying state tax!
