@ssj12 : they cut your throat... practically decapitated you, and they do it fast, i saw it in slow motion, it even have animation, i saw it when we failed a mission, it gets slow at the end, they used that thing the use to bash to do it.

in multiplayer they don't do it, but the big chimeras do. they easy to kill and die in a single shotgun though.

best way to stay away from them because if they close to you the will aim your head to cut it off.

Firstly, why the hell do people type "end thread"? Since when were you the most important opinion on the interweb?

Secondly, it's not that black and white when you are comparing a launch title to its sequel 2-3 years later. At launch there were only 2-3 games worth getting in the first couple of months, so Uncharted was picked up by most PS3 owners at the time, which can inflate the numbers. Just have a look at Red Steel for the Wii, it had its sales boosted by the same thing. I know the install base is lower, but even with only 4-6million PS3s sold, with fewer games around to choose from the attach rates should be higher.

ya, its jsut that in that mission there is like 2 in each room and sometimes in two different places so you kill one and hear them charging so your aiming around where you think he is than your dead since he was behind you... I really hate that.

Horde is just one of multiple modes that can be played single player.  And no, I don't play online. I was just saying it was a deciding factor for me, why I keep I game, and why to buy it.  Similar with UT3.  I kept it on the PS3, because of bots.

Thats the main one there. Theres a difference between dying because you made a mistake and dying because you happen to be looking in the wrong direction. If it frustrates me, it must be doing wonders for the word of mouth amongst the general population. There are others like being blindsided by a boss type monster without warning or running into one of those guys with a shield around a blind corner. The reason why I compared it to say Half-Life 2, is even if the game is hard in places it never makes you feel cheated.

To the rest of the people: I LOVED the concept of this game, its just the implementation IMO really let me down for the single player. I said to my friend that theres a AAA single player in there somewhere, its just they made some really iffy decisions IMO. I would say its a problem of overfamiliarity, they played it so many times they forgot that the general public will be experiencing it for the first time. I think thats the main cause of any issues.

I think they crossed a line between entertainment and annoyance and the sales may be suffering for it.

I think they just went in the wrong direction. I thought that the first time I heard you can only have 2 weapons at a time.

I think it's an improvement on resistance but still not as good as it could be. Insomniac have been releasing a game per year since the ps3 launched. For 12 months of development I think they've done admirably but the game could be so much better if they had 18 months to develop the game instead of 12.

Also, sales don't prove that resistance > resistance 2. I'm quite confused how one could come to that conclusion in the first place.

While you have a point Squil, your argument is flawed.
Your sales argument has already been beaten to a pulp, and while you are right that the game is fundamentally different from something like Half-Life 2 (and frustrating at times), there is also good to be found here. Personally, I like overcoming the challenges the game throws at me. And I found Half-Life 2 boring.
My point is, "bad" is subjective. I think grind is a horrible thing and I hate WoW, not only is it bad, but it buttfucked the entire Warcraft universe. But 11 million people will quite likely disagree with me to some extent.

I can't even believe someone can make a thread like this. Please don't try to equate sales with quality. Either this is a joke or everyone who has read this thread has lost 20 IQ points. From every news indication, R2 was better.
