I really doubt nintendo could use their profits for that. They've never been big on the pay-to-play arena but hey they seem to have done it for RE4 except I'm missing some detail so you never know.

Don't touch this one, SE is nothing like Squaresoft and without Sakaguchi I don't want it anymore but if Nintendo wanted to produce it in house(I trust their dev teams far more) then woohoo.
They seem to be working at this, look at their recent acquisitions and employment.
Best thing they could do at the moment is to bring back the nintendo seal of quality not just the "official seal" and start hitting a few shovelware producers with the ban hammer..
For RPG, Nintendo already has Pokémon, Golden Sun and Paper Mario(except the last one I guess). Some people might say that Fire Emblem is an RPG, but I don't really see it as one.
Also, they bought Monolith Soft to make an RPG for them, and Camelot are currently working on a game (possibly Golden Sun 3, or a different RPG all-together). They also have the Mario & Luigi-series.
So to sum it up: Epic fail on your part.
Wouldn't the hardlycore be the people who casually play mario kart? I think its more the core nintendo fans who would want the games you mentioned. OP has his terms mixed up a little bit.

There are some good conceptual ideas here -- if you can overcome the way in which they are presented.
A real Mario RPG would be great.
Reviving some 2D platfomers on Wiiware would be great.
As for Final Fantasy, if you mean US3,JP6, then NO. It was just re-released for a second time two years ago on the GBA. If you mean US7,JP7 then MAYBE. That would be interesting with motion controls. And especially if you could change certain outcomes.
