Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Who will buy Microsoft's next console at launch?

The first Xbox didn't have any major issues, well the second time around Microsoft currently did have a big problem with the hardware design (lack of air flow) but they improve it on the later models....So I guess is safe to buy a launch product from Microsoft next-gen, it takes a mistake to learn from it..

Look at Sony last-gen I went through 3 ps2's and look at them now with a console almost built to perfection.

I don't have a PS3 yet.

Halo 4 will ensure my purchase.

Depends on the Game. Halo 4, Mass Effect 3, etc as a launch title? You betcha.

It'll be a really tough sell for me, given my poor 360 experience - I jestisoned it after having spent aprox. $2500 in ten months - and general dis-taste
for how MS has conducted themselves. It will depend on whether my stance on them has softened, because I have little doubt it will be a great platform.

I will......I am a diehard Xbox fan. Used to be a HUGE PS2 fanboy (a complete asshole PS2 fanboy), and I hated on everything Xbox until I played Halo....then I hear CS & GTA are coming to Xbox, plus Xbox had better graphics and Xbox LIVE, and I made the switch. Now Microsoft owns RARE (one of my fav devs when I was younger), and LIVE continously evolves faster than PS3 or Wii online, and for those reasons, I will be buying an Xbox "3" on day one!

PREDICTIONS:
(Predicted on 5/31/11) END of 2011 Sales - Xbox 360 = 62M;  PS3 = 59M;  Wii = 97M

@ Zomb

PSN has evolved far faster than Live recently. It used to be XBL >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PSN.
Its now either XBL > PSN or XBL = PSN

I never buy consoles at launch, ever. Not worth it, no games and high prices pluss shoddy hardware and other issues. I'll probably buy the "nextbox" a couple of years after launch, kinda depends on which must have titles they announce when.

I think MS will have the issue double checked and have an extended warranty.... I mean it's all win if they keep their current failsafe procedures and avoid bad rep... if the product is stable it won't cost them much anyways
