He is very right wing Nintendo, no hope for that one. PS3 will do fine in Japan overall, hell just this year RE5, SF4, Yakuza 3 and FFXIII will do more then nicely for the PS3.

 

 

 I'm being realistic, PS3 will never get close to Wii in Japan

 

 It'll stick to selling ~ 1/3 of the Wii there. It will sell in the higher end of 5M (possibly 6M), while the Wii reaches ~ 15M.

For a comparison...

GC vs Ps3 = 4 vs 18M

N64 vs Ps2 = 5 vs 20M

Saturn vs SNES = 3.5M vs 17M

 

The Ps3 will be the closest to the winning console in Japan ever...

60-85 million LTD.I predict when the PS3 drops it's price to 349$ at the end of March 09 it will see an uptick in sells between 1.5-3 million units.Bringing it's sales at the end of Dec.09 to 30.5-33 million easily.By the end of Dec.10 when the price of the PS3 is at 299$,it will see world wide sales between 15-17 million for the year.Bringing it's sales total to at least 45.5-50 million.

 I didn't have 60 million, that was John Lucas, my 2008 prediction has been constant since 2007

He expects the wii to sell at the least 300-350million consoles by the end of its life, read his sig, the combined total of every PLAYSTATION console that has been on the market.
