Okami and NMH are not flops fyi. Okami did as expected being a port of a game that didnt do well initially and NMH was a huge success and was suda best selling game. Also they both made some pretty decent profit for the budget they had.

Wii - World at War

Bioshock is not a flop, 1/3 million for a game that came out a year late at full price is pretty good if you ask me

Easily Too Human.

Everyone voting for Call of Duty on the Wii is clearly ignoring that it's been out for just a month, and that Wii sales don't happen in just a month.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Still, it didn't even beat the opening week on the 360 after, what, 2 months?

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Hmh,no Cod 5 Ds gets votes?Well I think not many thought it would sell, but still..
And I do think sales easily tell if its flop or not. While Bioshock is about best FPS on Ps3,it sold 260k.While Okami got great reviews, and it is great game, only sold 170k.
Haze, well it was pretty ok game I guess, selling what 600k?But again thats pretty low considering what puplic picture it got
But list is not "flop list".I just putted those there that you would have something to look..
So stop yapping about the list and read: You can vote for any game you like.

.

Take my love, take my land..

"You can vote for any game you like."

Then you've shown you have no idea what the term flop really means. This is just telling us to claim any game we don't like is a flop.

Alone in the Dark. A failure critically, financially, technically. Also, four other categories were created just for this game (magically, mentally, spiritually, sexifully), and it was a failure in those categories too.

My pick would be supreme commander and Fracture.

I wouldn't consider Okami, Eternal sonata, bioshock to be flops as the other platform releases did well. Bioshock on PC and 360, eternal sonata on 360 and okami on ps2 because the original platform releases were much cheaper AFTER the introduction of these titles on the PS3 and Wii with little incentive to buy them on the new platforms (broken wiimote controls for okami, no changes for bioshock and a couple of extra playable characters for 3 times the price for eternal sonata).

Too human was a disappointment in sales because of how much hype was behind it (I kinda like it though). I think the fact that the fact that the 15 second valkyrie scene (with no load screen and several button pushes) is universally reviled is testament to the fact that people ware enjoying the game and don't like it getting interrupted. IMHO It wouldn't be considered a flop since it sold more than 500,000 and counting which would make it a contender for greatest hits on most platforms.

I wouldn't consider TLR for the same reason.

I think a variation Hollywood uses for movies is something that:

1. Lost money.

2. Critics didn't like it (in this case, Metacritic and Gamrankings do count).

3. Audiences didn't like it.

By that, there are still flops, but most of those on the list don't count. Haze and Too Human lost money, and while not hated, critics and players were certainly underwhelmed. Call of Duty 5 has not lost money (could break 500k by February), and it's gotten 83 from metacritic, so it's disqualified as a flop.
