Forums - Gaming Discussion - Flop of 2008?Vote now!

The true failure of the year is Opoona. That game is going to be worth an awful lot of money to collectors in 10 years, given how rare it's going to be...

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

a flop for gamers is actual game flop.....you cant honestly think a flop for gamers means sales lmao

the worst flop is vampire rain on ps3 and 360.....dunno what possesed them to make it

This, it's the gaming discussion we're in. We should judge by game quality, not sales.

FFS just say what you think is flop of year!

Wow, what's with the temper? Anyway, I'd say either Too human or Haze.

Too Human. It took 10 years to make that trash?

The only real flops this year are Haze, Too Human and Alone in the Dark.

Call of Duty made money on the Wii as well. The game used the same engine as the HD versions and the cost was shared. Plus considering Wii game costs, that means even by itself it would only have cost a few million, which those sales likely already made back.

It doesn't matter if it made money or not. If Halo 3 had only managed 3 million sales up to this point I would consider it a massive flop.

Call of Duty is one of the biggest names in gaming right now. The 360 version sold ten times more than the Wii version. For a console with twice the userbase, that's very worrying.

Haze. Not only did it sell badly, but I was very excited about it. I almost preordered it, but decided I would just go to the store on launch. Thank god I played the demo.

It does matter. Flop is not something you consider. It's not a subjective term. That's the same as saying "I would consider the sky green."

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

In terms of quality MGS4.

Yes, you hate everything. We get it.

@ Lord

Flop means underperforming relative to expectations. Some people think LBP is a flop because it wasn't "huge". Obviously, not everyone agrees with this.

Do you understand?
