If the storyline is great then people will play this game, in flocks. There are many people like me today who play video games purely based on storyline. IP wasn't advertised at all, it sold basically on word of mouth. If Sony advertises this game properly it could cross over to the sophisticated layer of film connaisseurs and inspire a whole genre of interactive movies for adults.

I hope you are right. Innovation is rarely rewarded with sales.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.
This game is like the evolution of the narrative driven adventure story of old that has died out due to the advent of superior graphic. I think it has a huge amount of potential but I simply don't see it moving a large amount of units, the genre just seems to niche
LTD of 1.5 million would be good safe bet.
are there videos of this game yet? I know almost nothing about it
Playstation 3 owner since December 25th, 2006
That's almost 10 more lines of dialog than Metal Gear Solid 4 had!!
Zing!
This game sounds incredible.

Pretty much. I've got my fingers crossed that it delivers on the "make your own story" premise. Indigo Prophecy was definitely headed that way until the mid-point: if Heavy Rain delivers all the way...
I have never played Indigo Prophecy. Is it worth a look if I am interested in Heavy Rain?

^^^Yes!! I loved Indigo Prophecy (until it went all crazy near the end). Buy it. It should be really cheap now. I got it fo 20 bucks years ago.
Any differences between PS2 and XBox versions? I would be playing it on the PS3 or 360. I would want it to look and play its best.
PS2 version at the store in my area is $12.99 and the XBox version is $9.99.
Thanks guys.
