Forums - Gaming Discussion - Now that I have played both Gears 2 and Resistance 2...

The cloaked enemy is known as the chameleon. It is probably one of the easier enemies to kill. They usually run straight at you, their cloak creates a significant distortion in the background, your crosshairs go red to indicate an enemy, they make a distinct sound before they attack, and they are a one hit kill with any weapon. They should only kill you once, if that because their attack is heavily dependant upon surprise.

I really liked this enemy. If you are paying attention they should never kill you. Kind of like most video games.

If you complained about some cheap deaths, particularily in Louisianna I would agree, but the chameleon is a good enemy. Also, you should try to play the online cooperative, there is no other game that offers a similar experience.

Thanks for the input, Jeff.

It's not that I suck at gaming, it's that I suck at that element. I was on the ship, so level 2, and the levels are large. it was probably 2 hours or so into the game. Every death I had in the game, was to these screamers, so I was not doing poorly at the game in general.

I just don't understand why someone who creates a game would find an element where once you discover it, you have to make a directional shot in less then a second or die. Explain to me why that's fun?

Funny how if I have a different opinion then you, I suck at gaming.

Yeah, its frustrating at first, since its something we are not used to, but there is a trick for it, and once i got it, there was no problem with it.  I just dont see your point on bashing a great game with that silly thing :P   all games have something that pisses one off, but most of the times it has a counterstratergy...thats the whole point....

It would not have upset me as much if it was not so prevalent throughout the game (at least the part I played).

Spoiler alert!

In the woods, there were three that come after you in the dry river bed. None of them from in front of you. So, I died to each one, and when I realized what direction they were coming from, I killed them. I had to memorize there locations and then make sure I was facing them when they de cloaked. Probably died 5 times there (my first 5 deaths).

Once I got thought that, I figured (that sucked, but it's over. time to get back into the game). The game was then fun again, until I got into the ship.

I would die, figure out where he was coming from, kill him the next time.

Once I got to the command room, and then moved off to the left, there were 5 or so in a row (I just turned off the console, so no clue how many are there).

After 6-7 deaths, I figured, well, if this is going to be a common element throughout the game, why play it?

I play these games for the story. And when you are into the game, and BAM! random death, it's no fun for me at all.

Haha, this thread is a failure and U Suck as a gamer. Please don't send out negative vibes about a game just because u are shit.

Yea, because I am the worst gamer in the world.

I will make a deal with you. I will stop posting information about gaming on a gaming forum like this, if you promise to pay back the 60 bucks to everyone who buys the game at my skill level, only to hate the game.

Deal?

Chameleon is just a taste, stalkers, are pain the ass if you don't have rockets. Change game setting on casual.

that's disappointing. I've been recommending r2 to the guys at work with ps3's. I'll stop doing that considering what you've said.

Did you try it before recommanding it ?

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

I can agree. The Invisible guys didn't bother me too much, but they did kill me a few times. But it's waaaaay too much trial and error gameplay. Die, learn, die, learn, die, die, die, learn, progress. I like the game, but the campaign was poorly designed as a whole.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I still haven't got Resistance 2 (might get CoD WaW first instead) but I can't see how this is going to be a major issue, it can't be that hard, and if it is, just change it down to casual difficulty

Dude I tried to help you, that is so easy, seriously you actually must suck at the game..

Thanks for trying. Your help was that they always run at you from the front. They don't, so sadly, that was not much help at all :p

Apparently, whatever talent you need to be good at this element, I don't have.

Its like saying ninja gaiden sucks because its difficult

No, it's not.

Maybe I did a poor job of explaining why I hate that element.

If you play Gears 2 on insane, it's hard. But it's hard in a way where you can see where you screwed up. You didn't take enough cover, to shot the guy in the wrong spot, you shot for too long, whatever...

In this game, for me anyway, I am playing the game, doing everything right, and then I hear a scream and I die. Aside from moving at a slow walks pace 100% of the time, pointing my cross hair every direction posable before I move to see it turn red, there is nothing I did wrong.

Everyone here says I suck, but they died from these things too. It's like what Vaga said. The way you get past them is die,learn,die,learn...etc...

That's not fun for me.
