I think you should keep this copied and ready to paste for the coming weeks to months in threads when you see how Fable 2 murders LBP and how 360 sales are above the PS3.

Looks like SDF is out in full force. Coming into a MS thread and talking shit well you asked for it. First MS was successful b/c of their great marketing unlike SONY where I haven't seen a single LBP add. I predict a better ranking and sales for fable 2 over Little Big FLOP.

It seems while the PS3 does cure cancer it can't stop discrimination.

What I see here is the classic case of well know franchise versus new kid on the block. It is not hard to go plop down 65 bucks on Fable 2 as it is a well known game with an easy to grasp concept. Little Big Planet on the other hand, is a brand new franchise, it is doing somthing completely new in the console gaming space, and many people have yet to come to a complete understanding of the Title.

Once we begin to see marketing pop up for these games then things will get interesting. If Sony plays it right and markets this game in collaberation with something that people can easly relate to, like coke or disney then this title should get off to a great start. If all the chatter so far over this game leads to good reviews, once people get their hands on it the word will start to spead. Once the fire starts, there is a good chance it will speard at brisk steady pace. This game also has something that could nock it into overdrive, but it is up to Sony to make sure this product hits the streets and explodes a new feel of community on PS3.

If Home launches along side Little Big Planet, we could be in for one wild ride. The hype inside home over this game could turn into a major news story. People buy LBP, go on Home talk it up, the ball blasts onto the mainstream press, and LBP turns in Wii for the PS3. Carzy thought? Sure as hell. Is it possible? We may never know, but should everything work as I believe Sony has it planned, then I think this is a very possible scenario.

1. Fable is now an established franchise from a legendary designer, with a built in audience. LBP is a new franchise that few people have had a chance to try, thus initial wariness is justified

2. Fable is an RPG and RPG's make up a sizable niche of console gaming. LBP is a 2D platformer, which in today's market is a very small niche.

3. The 360's audience is still substanially larger than the PS3s.

4. Sony's base has been built around the "anti-kiddie" image. LBP's image is anathema to much of that base.

Blah blah blah, so many excuses, lets get down to the point: LBP won't do too great in America or anywhere else, it's only chance at success lies in Europe, where they favour the PS3 and favour casual games. If it fails in Europe, it fails.

Fable 2 will sell strong all around, no risk of failure.

Fable 2 has tons of hype and is expected to be super good. It will likely be Xbox 360 RPG of the year and one of the systems top 5 games to date.

LBP will start with much slower sales but may do well if it is as fun as some people think it will be.
